Board Goals 2021-2022
Goal 1: Teaching and Learning
Raise awareness, student engagement and performance in vocational opportunities.
Goal 2: Community Connections
Enhance engagement between students and community members to promote community connections that align with our school’s vision and mission. The district will seek to connect with current vocational tradespeople in the community to create school information sessions including hands-on experiences for primary/elementary students and career information for middle school students.
Goal 3: Engender a Culture of Acceptance, Compassion, Tolerance and Understanding of Diversity
The district will create a LGBTQ+ Curriculum for grades K-8 including potential resources. The draft will be brought to community stakeholders through workshops as well as a public comment opportunity at a Board of Education meeting before adoption.
Goal 4: Technology
Develop students and staff fluency in our everyday changing world of technology to help students think critically and solve problems.
Conduct training for teachers on incorporating coding and problem solving at every grade level.
Goal 5: The Whole Child: Empower Our Students to Grow Personally and Identify Self-worth
Increase our district’s fine arts participation in public performances/contests. Identify programs and engage in programs that address children’s sense of self-worth.
