HIB Information

Each year, Alpha Public School completes a HIB Self-Assessment to evaluate the school’s implementation of the requirements outlined in the New Jersey Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act. The assessment reviews areas such as HIB policies, procedures, staff training, prevention programs, reporting and investigation practices, and school climate initiatives. Scores can be compared to the maximum possible score to help show where the school is meeting expectations and where there may be opportunities for continued growth. The score shown reflects Alpha Public School’s overall score on the assessment for that school year, rather than the maximum possible score. The results allow the school to recognize areas of strength while also identifying areas that may need additional attention or improvement.

The HIB Grade Report issued by the New Jersey Department of Education reflects the school’s performance across these indicators. This annual process helps guide our continued efforts to provide a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment for all students.
